Radio Daze
The Drive with Daedalus Howell, 95.5 FM.
The cobbler’s children have no shoes. But they're hobbits, so it's fine.
This has been my maxim during a recent k-hole-like work experience that absorbed most of my waking hours—and whatever dreams might’ve come.
Like a lot of culture serfs whose lifestyles are sustained (😂) by a confluence of revenue streams, my career is likewise a pastiche of legacy media, brand writing gigs, and indie film royalties—but you knew that. What you may not know is that this past August, I added a part-time broadcast concern to my portfolio—further cementing my reign of terror over local media. I’m now the host of The Drive with Daedalus Howell on 95.5 FM, Wine Country Radio.
It’s been three weeks and about 45 hours of radio thus far. What you also may not know is that I had just launched my own hour-long show on the same station, only to be tapped by my pal and predecessor, Steve Jaxon, to take his place as host of his show upon his retirement.
